Advanced poker players try to anticipate their opponent’s range of hands in each situation. This is sometimes difficult, but it is important for them to know the odds of winning a hand.

Another important thing to remember is that your hand is only as good as the other player’s. For example, if you have pocket kings and the flop comes A-8-5, your kings are likely losers 82% of the time. This is why it’s important to play aggressively and be willing to bluff when you have the opportunity.
